This 3-phase project includes a 44,095-square-foot hospital addition housing a new 20-bed inpatient unit comprised of Medical/Surgical, Acuity Adaptable, Sleep Disorders and Obstetrics, new Hospital Based Clinic, Diagnostic Imaging, Food Services, Education, Administrative Support Services, Materials Management, Central Plant, Environmental Services and Chapel. The project also includes 8,425 square feet of renovation for Cardiopulmonary, Admitting, Pharmacy, Lobby/Main Entrance and ER Expansion. The original medical clinic was relocated for better patient access in a new 16,000-square-foot medical office building connected directly to the hospital. The hospital is located in the heart of St. Maries and the site is very limited. To maximize the current use and provide options for future growth, the new addition was concentrated into a relatively small footprint. The building is 5-stories tall, making it one of the tallest and most prominent buildings in town. There was a desire to make the building a focal point for the community, with a strong sense of permanence.
