Community Health Association of Spokane Maple Street Addition and Remodel
Spokane, Washington
The Maple Clinic is the largest of six medical/dental clinics operated by Community Health Association of Spokane (CHAS). It is the flagship clinic of the organization providing pharmacy, healthcare, dental, behavioral health and nutrition counseling. The project consisted of a two-story, 5,200 sq. ft. addition that provides additional clinic space for providers and nursing teams. The existing 22,000 sq. ft. building was completely renovated and upgraded for clinic use, pharmacy and dental services. Support facilities were added that include meeting/conference rooms, a call/referral center and staff activity spaces. The entire site was re-developed to provide new parking, landscaping and outdoor staff areas. Construction was phased over a 15-month period, and allowed the existing building to remain open for public use. The updated facilities will allow CHAS to stay ahead of the growing demand for affordable medical and dental services under the laws of the Affordable Care Act.
