Associate Principal
“We as architects have a professional responsibility to help make sustainable communities the new standard of the industry. As designers and planners, we are uniquely positioned to help lead the way. We have talked with the American public in asking them what direction they want to see their communities take, and what kind of role they would like to see us as architects play. We are speaking the language of the American people, and they are looking to us to find solutions.”
Doug excels at project management, skillfully orchestrating the design team and effectively managing design and construction document production. He provides hands-on involvement, ensuring continuity from the beginning to beyond the warranty period. Doug is an expert at code compliance, exiting and ADA accommodation, and his project management skills have benefitted a broad range of projects during his 37-year career. Doug is the Eastern Washington Liaison for the Consulate General of Japan and is a Board member and Past President of the Japanese American Citizens League, Spokane Chapter.
