This major addition and renovation project for Rockwood Retirement Communities of Spokane ensures that Rockwood South Hill will continue to be the preeminent Continuing Care Community in eastern Washington. The new Summit Tower is integrated into the natural setting on the Rockwood campus with views to a preserved wetland area and 360-degree vistas to surrounding Spokane County landmarks including downtown Spokane itself. The 13-story tower has 64 independent-living units. Amenities include a new cultural center with ballrooms, penthouse-level sky lounge, arts and crafts studio, library, theater, bistro, fine dining room, bar & lounge, wellness center and spa. The tower also contains two floors of underground parking and a separate two-story, 100-car parking structure to the west of the existing eight-story residential tower. Perkins Eastman consulted on the interior design.
